MoonBikes is moving forward with ENVO. Since joining ENVO Drive Systems in 2025, we have strengthened customer support, built our international operations and begun developing the next generation together with Nicolas, the mastermind behind the original MoonBike.
As we prepare for another winter, we want to share how this collaboration began, what we have achieved and where we are heading.
A shared vision, from France to Canada
The journey began with a LinkedIn message. Nicolas reached out to Ali Kazemkhani, founder and CEO of ENVO, while looking for a new home for MoonBikes.
ENVO was already active in light electric snow mobility through its SnowBike and SnowKart. MoonBikes offered an opportunity to take a significant leap forward in technology, riding experience and market readiness. Its French engineering team had created a distinctive product: a lightweight, agile electric snow bike that brought a new kind of riding experience to the market.
As mechanical engineers, Nicolas and Ali quickly found common ground. Their discussions focused on how MoonBikes could grow within ENVO’s engineering, manufacturing and distribution ecosystem.
In May 2025, Ali and Samira visited Nicolas and his partner Thomas in Annecy, France. They toured the office and warehouse, explored the product and test-rode a wheeled MoonBike prototype. That meeting helped turn their shared vision into a working collaboration.

Collaboration brought to life
For Ali, the most meaningful achievement has been putting one of ENVO’s core values into practice.
“Instead of following, copying or waiting for a great competitor to disappear, we chose to join hands, support what they had built and help it evolve,” he explains.

Nicolas and the French and American engineers, technicians and market developers behind MoonBikes had invested years in introducing a new kind of vehicle. Continuing that work within ENVO meant bringing their knowledge and experience into its next chapter.
“Seeing what they created continue and evolve with ENVO is deeply rewarding,” says Ali.
A year of learning and building
Ahead of the 2025 winter season, the teams launched a new website, established new marketing channels and organized logistics and warehousing in Vancouver, Detroit and Poland to support customers across Canada, the United States and Europe.
The work also included organizing bikes, spare parts and production components, building customer service processes and connecting Nicolas with ENVO’s technical team. Supporting existing owners and MoonBike parks was a priority throughout the transition.

Over the past year, the team has handled hundreds of sales, service and spare parts inquiries. Each interaction has helped deepen its understanding of the product, the riding community and the needs of park operators.
That first year established MoonBikes as a successful and profitable business within ENVO, creating a foundation for continued development.

Preserving what makes MoonBike special
The original MoonBike introduced a distinctive approach to recreational snow riding. Its lightweight design, agility and enjoyable riding experience remain central to the product’s identity.

Those qualities will guide the next generation. Nicolas continues to lead its engineering and design in collaboration with ENVO’s team, bringing his knowledge of the original product into every stage of development.
The aim is to preserve the experience riders love while making MoonBike more adaptable and expanding its practical applications.
Connecting MoonBike to ENVO’s technology platform
A major part of the next chapter is integrating MoonBike with ENVO’s core technology platform and supply chain.
The development plan includes a shared battery system with ENVO’s UPT, the Utility Personal Transporter, and its electric RIB boat. It also brings MoonBike into common production lines, logistics, sales and customer support systems.
This approach reflects ENVO’s philosophy of modularity and mass customization. Sharing adaptable components across products creates opportunities for more configurations, simpler support and lower costs as production scales.
The possibilities extend further. Combining MoonBike’s snow mobility technology with the UPT platform could enable future multi-track and specialized electric snow vehicles, opening new applications across ENVO’s product ecosystem.
Expanding into utility snow mobility
MoonBike has established itself as a recreational electric snow bike. ENVO sees meaningful growth potential in extending that technology to practical work in snow.
A utility version is now under development with Nicolas and ENVO’s engineering team. A confidential fleet client is helping drive this work, with further details to be shared when appropriate.

The development focuses on applications such as security, search and rescue, and other operations where a small footprint, quiet operation, stealth capability and reduced environmental impact matter.
This direction will expand the MoonBike family while preserving its recreational purpose. Final specifications and availability will be shared as development progresses.
A future built together
MoonBikes’ French engineering heritage, Nicolas’s continued involvement and ENVO’s broader capabilities are shaping a long-term future for the product and its community.
The past year has shown what this collaboration can achieve: continued support for riders and parks, a successful business and a new generation taking shape.
To our riders, park operators and partners, thank you for being part of the journey. We look forward to sharing what comes next.
