Modular By Nature

Most electric vehicles are take-it-or-leave-it. Ours are built to be adapted, upgraded and made to fit. Designing around shared platforms and interchangeable components means more choice, better value and parts that are easier to repair and replace.

It also means we design some truly cool stuff, like our new UPT, a modular EV platform that can be configured into 18+ different kinds of vehicles, from golf carts to snowplows.

And we're just getting started. We're working to bring modularity to more of our products, giving you more freedom to make your vehicle your own and adapt it as your needs change.

Rightsizing Mobility

We believe most vehicles are bigger than they need to be for the way people really move day to day. Rightsizing is our answer: the right vehicle, energy and resources for the job, and no more.

It's a common-sense idea with a bigger purpose behind it: moving us toward healthier, more sustainable communities.

ENVO also builds for the long term. Our e-bikes and electric vehicles are made to be serviced, repaired and supported over time so they stay useful, reliable and on the road for years to come.

The ENVO Team

We always start with big ideas, but our people bring them to life. ENVO is powered by people who love solving mobility problems (we're a bunch of engineers).

Over the years, more than 100 employees and partners have helped us grow, by developing new products, tackling engineering and manufacturing challenges, building sales and service networks and supporting our customers.

“Starting a company teaches you pretty quickly that you can't do everything yourself. I've been fortunate to find people who challenge me, teach me new things and care about ENVO as much as I do. That's something I never take for granted.”

THE ENVO STORY

Curiosity, Engineering, Entrepreneurship

ENVO's story began long before the company had a name. It started with our founder Ali as a curious kid, experimenting with a tape recorder motor. That curiosity stayed with him, leading him into engineering and, eventually, e-bike development.

When Ali arrived in Canada in 2015, he looked for a place to put his skills to work. He couldn't find what he was looking for, so he started building it himself. Over the years, more than 100 employees and partners have helped shape ENVO, bringing their ideas, expertise and commitment to the journey.

2026

UPT production begins

This marks a major expansion into configurable two, three and four-wheel electric vehicles. At the same time, ENVO expands its international production footprint, including approximately 90,000 sq. ft. of co-invested manufacturing capacity in Changzhou, China, alongside Canadian and other international assembly activities.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ENVO make?

ENVO produces and sells products ranging from e-bikes and e-trikes to enclosed vehicles, electric snowmobiles, electric utility vehicles and electric boats.

The company aims to build electric vehicles for all kinds of journeys: everyday rides, family and cargo trips, work, winter travel and recreation.

These vehicles serve different people, but they draw on shared engineering, components, and a belief that mobility should fit the task. Each product is part of the ENVO family, with ideas developed in one category helping the company improve the others. Explore ENVO's products.

Where is ENVO based?

ENVO is based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, in the Metro Vancouver area on the country's West Coast.

It's a natural home for a mobility company: the region brings together city streets, mountain trails, snow and ocean, the full range of conditions ENVO's vehicles are built for, in one of North America's most bike-friendly, outdoor-minded cultures.

ENVO's founder, Ali Kazemkhani, put down roots here in 2015 and started the e-bike business that would grow into ENVO. What began with electric bikes is now a whole family of light electric vehicles, still designed and engineered in B.C. today.

Where are ENVO products made?

ENVO products are designed and engineered in Canada. ENVO maintains a 22,000-square-foot warehouse in Burnaby, British Columbia, for product development, assembly, quality control and distribution.

ENVO products are produced through a growing international manufacturing network. ENVO has approximately 90,000 sq. ft. of dedicated production capacity in Changzhou, China, developed through a co-investment partnership. This facility handles assembly for the majority of ENVO's current lineup, including the 50 Series and 35 Series e-bikes and the Flex platform, and is now being prepared to support the expansion of UPT production for international markets.

ENVO is also exploring additional local assembly opportunities in the United States, India and France.

Where can I buy ENVO e-bikes and other products?

You can buy ENVO products online at envodrive.com, or in person from authorized ENVO dealers across Canada. Find a store near you.

Why should I choose ENVO over other brands?

Buyers choose ENVO for practical e-bikes and light electric vehicles that are built to last, easy to service and backed by real long-term support.

As an established company with its headquarters and warehouse in North America, ENVO provides service and support across its whole product range.

ENVO's engineering philosophy is to build products for real-world use and simplicity, not high margins. We focus on the features that matter most: performance, practicality, versatility, durability, safety and the best possible value for the money.

The company's modular, mass-customized approach also supports long-term ownership. By designing around shared, serviceable, and widely used components, ENVO makes it easier to maintain, repair, upgrade and source replacement parts for years to come.

How can I become an ENVO dealer?

ENVO sells through a network of independent dealers across Canada and welcomes new retail and service partners. To learn more, visit our Become a Dealer page.

Does ENVO provide service and support for its products?

Yes, ENVO offers support and service for all of its products. Contact the ENVO Help Center if you need immediate assistance.

We'll be here to help for the long haul, too. ENVO is an established business, not a startup. Founded in 2016, the company now has a 22,000-square-foot warehouse in Burnaby, B.C. We have grown through a sustainable, bootstrapped business model and a long operating track record, rather than depending on continuous outside funding.

In an industry where many mobility companies have disappeared, long-term business sustainability matters when customers expect parts, service and support years after purchase.

Are replacement parts available for ENVO products?

Yes. ENVO sells spare parts and accessories directly at envodrive.com, and parts are also available through authorized ENVO dealers.

Because ENVO designs its e-bikes and other vehicles around shared, serviceable and widely used components, parts are easy to source and keep on hand. If you're not sure which part you need, contact the ENVO Help Center or your local dealer, or shop spare parts.

Do ENVO products come with a warranty?

Yes, all ENVO products, including e-bikes, come with a 12-month warranty, and an option to purchase extended warranty up to 24 months. Learn more about ENVO warranties.

How is ENVO funded?

ENVO is a privately held, founder-led Canadian company. It has grown through a bootstrapped, revenue-driven model, reinvesting earnings into engineering, products, people, manufacturing and market development.

As the company grows, it plans to complement this model with strategic investment, industrial partnerships, joint ventures and other aligned sources of capital that can accelerate manufacturing, technology development, localization and global expansion.

What's next for ENVO?

More innovation. ENVO plans to continue expanding modularity across its e-bikes, e-trikes, two-, three- and four-wheel vehicles, as well as its snow, water and utility products.

The goal is to bring increasingly customizable and even DIY design-and-build capability across the ENVO ecosystem, while keeping products affordable, serviceable, compliant and practical to manufacture at scale.

ENVO's larger ambition is to build a new global mobility ecosystem around these platforms. Through partnerships in different countries, we want ENVO solutions to become locally accessible for learning, testing, designing, building, purchasing, servicing and sourcing parts.
